How To Use The Templates

Download the appropriate template for your software and product you're wanting to design. Once you open the file, immediately save it as a new file with whatever you want to call it and label it either front or back. The files may be in RGB or CMYK, these days, it doesn't matter much. It is a safe bet to design in CMYK if your monitor is calibrated. The issue with designing in RGB will be noticeable after the file is printed. The brighter "neon" colors will be subdued. We will do our best to make colors of close as possible to your design. No guarantees can be made. A print preview proof is avail be on request at no charge.

Each template is setup with a bleed a cut line and a safe zone.

PDF, PSD, and EPS templates:

There will be a red line, a blue line, and a green line. The red line is the bleed line. All artwork must come to the bleed line. The blue line is the cut line and will be the actual finished size of the product. The green line is the safe zone. No text or important artwork should pass the line as it could get cut off.

Publisher Templates:

Currently Publisher templates only have margins and guides setup. Try not to make a "shape" as the background, but use the "Background" button on the Page Design tab. This will allow you to still see the guides and margins. Then add your text and images. The inner most lines is the safe zone. The margin lines are the cut lines. The edge of the document is the bleed. Please extend background images and text to the edge of the document and keep text within the inner guides.

What To Upload

  • Your artwork should be created at full size and at least 300dpi. It can be RGB or CMYK. We can print RGB relatively accurate, however, the "neon" bright colors won't print the same as on your screen. If you're not sure, print a small version on your desktop printer to see how it may turn out.

  • If you can't create your artwork at full size, please use as much line art or vector art as possible. This allows us to scale up to size without loosing clarity.

  • Embed all images and other artwork.

  • Convert fonts to outlines, curves, paths, or rasterize them(if artwork is full size).

  • Rasterize complex layer styles.

  • Please do not include crop marks, cut marks, swatches, labels, or any other marks that you don't want printed on your artwork. Additional time may be required for removing these marks.

  • Save the file as a PDF, EPS, TIFF, JPG, AI, or PSD.
